Street Fighter Teaser Trailer

It's been a long since the first Street Fighter game has been published. The game has become a franchise and even had an early movie adaptation starring Jean Claude Van Damme in 1994.

Scriptwriter Justin Marks and Director Andrzej Bartkowiak team up to bring Street Fighter back in the front: they've been working on a new movie titled Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li. This is the first movie of a potential movie series.

The movie Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li should be released at the end of February 2009.

Let's have look to this Japanese promotional teaser trailer of Street Fighter The Legend of Chun Li:

Street Fighter Teaser Trailer

The Plot:
"Based on the popular video game franchise, female fighter Chun Li embarks on a quest for justice."

The lead character Chun-Li is played by Kristin Kreuk (the girl from the TV show Smallville). The film is also starring Neal McDonough as M. Bison, Chris Klein as Charlie, Michael Clarke Duncan as Balrog, and Taboo as Vega.

Ryu, Ken and Guile are not part of this movie: it is indeed more of a Chun-Li origin story. But they will probably appear in future sequels if this first movie is successful.

this blows! chun-li is a supporting character! street fighter is KEN AND RYU!..period!.. no one wants to see just chun li..how about a tournament where we actually see street fighter characters fight one another in real street fighter costumes..no hollwood reinterputations of their costumes!..this smells of hollywood pro-feminism movies! you know,"look at me:i'm a woman and i can beat up a bunch of men twice my size!"..like underworld!(barf!)..looking at the trailer, if they didn't have street fighter in the title, i wouldn't have known it was a street fighter movie! no signature costumes, no tournament, nom sf tunes, no recognizable sf backgrounds of fighting stages, and no other major street fighter characters?..this movie sucks! i'll avoid it like the plague!..no ken and ryu?..what is this crap?...

I'm going to go on a limb and say you don't actually understand feminism if you think this or underworld were feminist films. woman in skin tight outfits in sexy poses aren't exactly feminist. and how many girls do you think want to see this, hell do you know anyone who wants to see this for that matter? This movie is strictly for sex deprieved tards who haven't played
